Redbird XC Squads Rank Top-5 In Pre-MVC Championship Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference released its Pre-championship poll ahead of the 2024 MVC title meet this Friday.
The Illinois State cross country squads each earned a top-5 ranking in Tuesday's poll. The men's team earned a No. 2 ranking, receiving two first-place votes and a point total of 32, while the women's squad received a No. 4 ranking with mark of 51 poll points.
The men's team jumped two rankings from its No. 4 preseason ranking, as the women's squad dropped from spot from its preseason ranking of No. 3.

The Redbirds will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to compete in the MVC Cross Country Championships, which will be hosted by the University of Northern Iowa. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m.
