Illinois State Tops Evansville to Clinch Series
NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State baseball clinches its series versus Evansville with a 7-1 win behind 14 Redbird hits on Saturday at Duffy Bass Field.
Five Redbirds (17-16 overall, 8-3 MVC) had multiple hits as senior Judah Morris led the offense with a two-hit, four-RBI performance.
Senior Tanner Perry was credited with the win after throwing 6.1 innings with one run allowed while fellow senior Carter Monke closed it out by recording the final eight outs against the Aces (11-23 overall, 5-6 MVC).

- The scoring began with an RBI single from Pacella in the bottom of the 3rd
- Judah Morris sent out a home run to left center to make it 4-0 Redbirds after three innings
- The Redbirds added three more in the 4th via back-to-back RBI doubles from Kyle Gibson and Shai Robison before an RBI single from Morris spread the margin to 7-0
- Evansville scored their lone run of the game in the 5th with an RBI double
