Birds Fall to the Denver Pioneers, 6-1, at Evergreen Racquet Club
BLOOMINGTON, Ill.-- The Illinois State men's tennis team (5-15, 1-2 SUMMIT) dropped a 6-1 decision to the Denver Pioneers (11-6, 1-0 SUMMIT) inside Evergreen Racquet Club on Friday.
The Pioneers swept doubles play on the day. In singles competition, Illinois State picked up one win thanks to freshman Christian Capacci (Forlimpopoli, Italy) who downed Samuel Rovai of DU by a 4-6, 6-3, 11-9 final.
