Sexual Assault Awareness Month: Clothesline Project

Join SERC (Students Ending Rape Culture) on Wednesday April 23 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to participate in the Clothesline Project. The event will be held near the flagpole on the ISU quad. Shirts made by sexual assault survivors will be hung from a clothesline. We invite survivors to create a T-shirt if they feel comfortable enough.

What is Clothesline Project?

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of violence statistics that often go ignored. Each shirt is made by a survivor of violence or by someone who has lost a loved one to violence. The display of survivors’ shirts provides a space for their story to be heard by others.

The SRPR Lucia Getsi Poetry Reading
This year’s Lucia Getsi Poetry Reading will feature award-winning poet, writer, and educator Victoria Chang, and SRPR Editors’ Prize Contest winner Ali Beheler. Both artists will read a selection of their creative work, followed by a Q+A and book signing.

The ISU Philharmonia string orchestra will perform its final concert of the semester with music by Mozart, Telemann, and Astor Piazzola, featuring ISU faculty soloists Dr. Kate Lewis, viola and Dr. Jillian Kouzel, oboe. "Overcoming Test Anxiety" Workshop (Online)*
You’ve studied for the exams, you know your materials, you even tutored your roommates but you got to the exam hall and you just blanked out. You could not remember anything!! Test Anxiety is common to many students. While everyone feels some degree of anxiety during tests or exams, it becomes an issue when anxiety makes you feel anxious, ill, or develop brain freeze during an exam or test. This interactive workshop will explore the issue of anxiety from the students’ perspectives, what it is, and how to overcome it.
