Men's Golf Looks for Second Title in Three Years at 2025 MVC Championship
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Illinois State men's golf team will look to secure its second MVC title over the last three seasons this coming weekend, when the Birds travel to Des Moines, Iowa, to take on the Missouri Valley Conference field at the 2025 Championship.

History at the Event: For the 44th time, the Illinois State men's golf team will compete at the MVC Championship, with the Redbirds holding six tournament wins, more than any other school currently in the Conference. Two seasons ago, the Redbirds' tournament score of 836 was the second-lowest in the history of the tournament, including twice carding the lowest 18 hole score on a par-71 course. That season Felix van Dijk's first-round 65 was tied for the second-lowest single-round score in MVC Championship history, while his tournament score of 204 saw him as the runner-up and the fourth-lowest tournament score in Championship history.
