Illinois State softball travels to Nashville this weekend for a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series against league leader Belmont at E.S. Rose Park.

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball program is set to travel to Murray, Ky., to take on Murray State in a three-game series in Missouri Valley Conference play at Johnny Reagan Field.

With just two matches remaining in the regular season for Illinois State, Wednesday's match with Omaha was a crucial one for seeding in the upcoming Summit League Championship. After taking an early lead, the Redbirds (9-12, 2-2 Summit League) rolled in singles play to pick up a win over the Mavericks (12-10, 2-2 Summit League) at the Evergreen Racquet Club and move into a three-way tie for second place in the league standings.
