Dr. Alex Hanna will be delivering her talk, “The AI Con: How to Fight Big Tech’s Hype and Create the Future We Want,” in anticipation of her upcoming book. She is the Director of Research at the Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR). This will be a virtual event on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:00 PM on Zoom (registration link). At this talk, Dr. Hanna will delve into the promises being made by technology companies about these tools and the strategies participants can use to evaluate those claims. She will help develop critical questions about the future uses and misuses of these technologies so that we can approach AI responsibly in the future. While everyone feels some degree of anxiety during tests or exams, it becomes an issue when anxiety makes you feel anxious, ill, or develop brain freeze during an exam or test.
