Queer Coalition will be sponsoring a Trans Resilience Colloquium (hopefully the first annual!) with the Department of Psychology on November 12, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. (location TBD). This interdisciplinary forum will be dedicated to celebrating, amplifying, and uplifting trans issues, voices, and experiences through short, rapid-fire presentations and other forms of creative expression. This is an excellent opportunity to share emerging research, get practice public speaking, or workshop your elevator pitch for your dissertation/thesis! The submission window will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th.  Abstract submission guidelines Theme: Amplifying Trans Resilience: Reducing Disparities and Lifting Trans Voices Presentation Formats• Lightning Talks / Flash Performances (Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students):5–10 minute presentations or performances that highlight research, creative works, or other contributions that explore or celebrate trans experience.• Info Blitz / Art Spark (Undergraduate Students):3–5 minute presentations or artistic spotlights designed to share research, artwork, writing, music, or other expressions.o Undergraduate students must indicate a supervising faculty member upon submission. You’ve studied for the exams, you know your materials, you even tutored your roommates but you got to the exam hall and you just blanked out. You could not remember anything!! Test Anxiety is common to many students. While everyone feels some degree of anxiety during tests or exams, it becomes an issue when anxiety makes you feel anxious, ill, or develop brain freeze during an exam or test. This interactive workshop will explore the issue of anxiety from the students’ perspectives, what it is, and how to overcome it.
