- DescriptionQueer Coalition and Pride will celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) on Monday, March 31, with a sashay around central campus. This event, which has been held annually since 2022, aims to highlight transgender members of the queer community while promoting allyship and solidarity.
All are welcome to attend. Queer Coalition invites those who wish to join the promenade to wear highly visible and colorful clothing. Limited hand signs will be available for participants to hold; people are also welcome to bring their own. The group will depart from the Rosa Parks Room at Watterson Towers at about 4:15 p.m. and make a loop around the quad before returning for remarks and community building.
As in previous years, University Communications and Marketing will be documenting this event and the ISU Police Department will be providing support. Those who do not wish to appear in photographs are advised to walk at the back of the group. Please direct any questions to LGBTQ@IllinoisState.edu.
