Session Two of the Graduate School's Navigating Academic Conferences Series

Presenting research can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! In this workshop, Jillian Kaufmann, co-director of the COM 110 program, will draw on her experience in teaching public speaking to explore three key areas of strong academic presentations: content, delivery, and visual aids. Graduate students will learn strategies for moving beyond simply reading a paper to delivering a compelling presentation that makes the audience want to listen.
