We will engage with local political leaders such as Evelyn Sanguetti, former Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, to learn what it takes to represent the people and take charge of our civic responsibilities. Along with our keynote speaker(s), we have an activity planned which includes unraveling our political typologies, understanding who currently holds power in our local government, and furthermore, how we can collaborate to advocate social change. There will also be food and drinks! All majors are welcome as this space encourages inclusivity and a bipartisan stance. You are not required to have any expertise on political science, legal studies, or policy to join in!
