The Conversations Café is a casual 1-hour social hosted monthly by OIE for both international and domestic students that simulates a relaxing coffee shop atmosphere. - Apr 2512:30 PMSpring Into Service: Salvation Army Clean UpMake a difference as we help clean and organize the Salvation Army’s pod! Join the Center for Civic Engagement for a rewarding service project that directly supports our local community. To attend, RSVP yes to this event on Redbird Life. Spots are limited to 15 volunteers, so if you registered but are no longer able to attend, please change your RSVP for this event to "no." We will meet at the Center for Civic Engagement at 12:30 PM for a pre-reflection on the importance of community service and its impact. Afterward, we will head over to the Salvation Army to get to work organizing and cleaning their pod. The service will take place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and after wrapping up, we’ll gather for a post-reflection to share our experiences. Transportation will be provided for those who need it. Please show your Redbird spirit by wearing any ISU gear or a red shirt to help keep us unified as a group! - Apr 255:30 PMPaintballing-Urban Warfare BloomingtonOn April 25th at 6pm we will go to Urban Warfare in Bloomington near Rivian to participate in a group paintballing event! Cost is free and we will carpool there. If you are interested, please RSVP to Kaitlyn Koenigstein at kakoen1@ilstu.edu or 618-340-6436 call or text. We will meet at Wittenberg Lutheran Center at 5:30pm at the latest (201 S. Main Street Normal IL, a 5 minute walk from the quad) to arrive at Urban Warfare at 6pm to check in. We will begin playing rounds of paintballing at 6:30, finishing up around 8pm. We reserved 15 spots, so RSVP as soon as possible to guarantee your spot. Please wear comfortable athletic clothing that is thick to minimize the impact the paintballs will have when you get hit (you don't want too many bruises!!)
