Trans Resilience Colloquium

    Queer Coalition will be sponsoring a Trans Resilience Colloquium (hopefully the first annual!) with the Department of Psychology on November 12, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. (location TBD). This interdisciplinary forum will be dedicated to celebrating, amplifying, and uplifting trans issues, voices, and experiences through short, rapid-fire presentations and other forms of creative expression. This is an excellent opportunity to share emerging research, get practice public speaking, or workshop your elevator pitch for your dissertation/thesis! The submission window will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th. 
    Abstract submission guidelines
    Theme: Amplifying Trans Resilience: Reducing Disparities and Lifting Trans Voices
    Presentation Formats• Lightning Talks / Flash Performances (Faculty, Staff, and Graduate Students):5–10 minute presentations or performances that highlight research, creative works, or other contributions that explore or celebrate trans experience.• Info Blitz / Art Spark (Undergraduate Students):3–5 minute presentations or artistic spotlights designed to share research, artwork, writing, music, or other expressions.o Undergraduate students must indicate a supervising faculty member upon submission.
    Submission Guidelines• Abstract Length: 150-250 words• Include: Title, preferred presentation format, and short bio (100 words or fewer)• Deadline: Sunday, October 26th at 11:59 p.m.• Submit at: https://bit.ly/ISUTransResilience
