Redbirds Fall to Host Illini in Midweek Contest, 8-2

Illinois State baseball finished with seven hits and two runs as the Redbirds fell to host Illinois Tuesday at Illinois Field, 8-2.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois State baseball finished with seven hits and two runs as the Redbirds fell to host Illinois Tuesday at Illinois Field, 8-2.

The loss moves Illinois State to 12-15 in 2025 while Illinois improves to 15-11 overall.

  • The Illini broke open the scoring with three runs in the 2nd off an RBI single and two-run double
  • Illinois added five runs in the 7th inning to make it 8-0
