Morris, Pacella Named Second-Team CSC Academic All-American
NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State's Judah Morris and Daniel Pacella have been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second-Team selection, the organization announced Tuesday.
The duo is the sixth and seventh Redbird in program history to be honored as an Academic All-American and the first since Jake McCaw in 2022.
Morris graduated in 2025 with a 3.83 in Exercise Science. Morris is a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection in 2025 and 2024. He was named MVC First-Team Scholar Athlete Team in 2025 as well as a Second-Team Scholar Athlete Team honoree in 2024. This season, the senior was named Second-Team All-MVC in 2025 after being named an Honorable Mention All-MVC selection in 2024. He finished the 2025 season hitting .298/.667/.466 with 16 doubles, 19 home runs, and 50 RBIs. Morris was one of three Redbirds to play in every game in 2025.
Pacella finished his junior season with a 3.96 GPA in Physical Education. He was named MVC Scholar Athlete First-Team for the second straight season in 2025 as well as being tabbed with CSC Academic All District honors for the second time in his career. Pacella is a back-to-back First Team All-MVC selection. He finished 2025 with a team-best .355 batting average, 58 runs, 82 hits, 19 doubles, 20 home runs, and 59 RBIs. His 58 hits are the fourth most in a single season for a Redbird while the 20 home runs place the southpaw with the second most single season home runs in program history. Additionally, Pacella joins Morris as one of three Redbirds to play in every game of 2025.
Morris and Pacella are the only MVC players honored as CSC Academic All-Americans in 2025.
