Women's Tennis Reveals 2025 Spring Schedule
NORMAL, Ill.-- The Illinois State women's tennis team has announced its 2025 spring schedule. ISU will compete in a total of 22 regular season matches, including eight MVC matches and a pair of matches against Big Ten competition.
The Redbirds will open up the season on January 18 when they hit the road to take on No. 63 Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Illinois State remains on the road to take on No. 70 Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa on January 20.
ISU rounds out the month of January at home welcoming both Western Illinois and the University of Illinois-Springfield (Jan. 26). The Redbirds begin February with a trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to face the Marquette Golden Eagles (Feb. 1) prior to an in-state meeting with Chicago State on Feb. 2 at home. Then, it is four straight matches on the road for ISU as the Birds will board flights to both New York and West Virginia for matches against Fordham (Feb. 7), St John's (Feb. 8), Marshall (Feb. 20), and Radford (Feb. 22).
Illinois State returns to the Land of Lincoln to host Eastern Illinois (Mar. 2) prior to traveling to face in-state foe SIUE (Mar. 7). The Redbirds conclude the non-conference portion of the spring with a trip to Irvine, California as the Redbirds will square off against Utah State (Mar. 10) and UC Irvine (Mar. 11).
Illinois State opens Missouri Valley Conference play in Peoria, Ill. against I-74 rival, Bradley, on March 22 before returning to Normal to welcome UNI (Mar. 29) and Drake (Mar. 30). The Redbirds will then be on the road for four straight matches at Murray State (Apr. 4), Missouri State (Apr. 6), and Valparaiso/UIC (Apr. 13). The spring concludes for ISU at home against Belmont on April 18.
The Missouri Valley Conference Team Championships will be hosted by Valparaiso University on April 26-28 in Valparaiso, Indiana.
