Tournament Field Announced for 2025 Discover Puerto Rico Shootout
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The field for the 2025 Discover Puerto Rico Shootout has been announced and it will have Illinois State match up against Rice (Nov. 26), East Carolina (Nov. 27) and Wake Forest (Nov. 28) during the tournament to be held at Coliseo Roberto Clemente in the capital city of San Juan.
Additionally, Kentucky, Maryland, Morgan State, Hofstra and UCF will also participate in the event. Admission to all games is free, and fans can stream each game with a paid subscription to FloHoops.
The Redbirds return seven players from last season's squad that advanced to the WNIT Fab 4, including MVC All-Freshman team selection Doneelah Washington and All-MVC Newcomer team member Addison Martin. The Redbirds were 24-13 overall last season, including a 14-6 mark in MVC play and a 14-4 record at home at CEFCU Arena.
