Redbirds Fall To Central Arkansas In Tournament Finale
CONWAY, Ark. – For the third time in as many days, Illinois State squared off against host Central Arkansas at the Milisa Moore/Shane Lamb Tournament on Sunday in the finale of the five-game weekend. Central Arkansas would take an early lead and never looked back, as the Redbirds dropped their final game at Farris Field by a final of 7-0 to the Bears.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Central Arkansas jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a three-run home run by Mya January and then extended the lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning with two runs on a pair of RBI singles. The Bears would tack on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to move the score to 7-0, which is where it would stay as the Redbirds were held to just five hits in the contest.
ON DECK
The Redbirds have a mid-week test against Illinois in Champaign on Wednesday, before opening Missouri Valley Conference play in Carbondale on Friday against Southern Illinois.
