Campus Safety Quick-Build Projects Are Now Live—Share Your Experience!

The campus safety improvements you helped us identify are now live! Quick-build projects have launched across campus and Uptown Normal, testing the safety solutions the campus community suggested through a spring survey.

On September 8, this one-day temporary crosswalk was installed between intersections
- Two-Way Bike Lane: College Avenue from School Street to Constitution Trail >
On September 4, this one-day, temporary bike lane was installed to demonstrate and improve options for on-street bicycling
- Intersection Improvements: Constitution Trail at Locust & Mulberry Streets >
Extensions of the sidewalk to make pedestrians more visible, shorten crosswalks, and prevent illegal parking.
- Pathway Education: College Avenue On-Campus Pathway >
Decals on the southern sidewalk to promote shared responsibility, safe travel behaviors, and compliance with the campus dismount zone
