Celebrate Black history year-round with Milner Library

Milner Library invites the Illinois State community to visit its digital book display highlighting Black stories, experiences, power, and knowledge.

As Black History Month comes to a close, Milner Library invites the Illinois State community to visit its digital book display highlighting Black stories, experiences, power, and knowledge. Milner is pleased to share various resources and literature celebrating Black History for the remainder of February and throughout every month of the year.

You can access this permanent digital display on Milner’s website. Featured literature encompasses both fiction and nonfiction, print and digital resources, as well as historical and contemporary texts.

To view other displays curated by the IDEA Committee, go to the library homepage and select “Advanced Search.” Then, select “Library Displays” from the toolbar at the top of the webpage and check, “IDEA Displays.”

If you would like to see additional resources included in this display, please reach out to the chair of Milner Library’s IDEA Committee, María Tudela, at matudel@IllinoisState.edu.
