ACLU-ISU to host 'LGBTQIA+ Film Night' tonight

Illinois State University’s American Civil Liberties Union chapter (ACLU-ISU) will host an “LGBTQIA+ Film Night” from 5-6:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in Schroeder Hall Room 204. Jennie Livingston’s “Paris is Burning” documentary will be the featured presentation. The film was selected to showcase drag-ballroom culture in 1980s New York City. A discussion about the importance of protecting LGBTQIA+ spaces and honoring trailblazers in the community will follow the screening. Additionally, ACLU-ISU will hold its executive board elections for the 2025-26 academic year at the film screening. More information is available here.
