NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State University’s Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority teamed up at Hancock Stadium to host the first-ever “Reggie Games,” an event inspired by the popular Netflix series Squid Game.
The Marketing Analytics Chair of Pi Sigma Epsilon Dylan Moss shared the purpose behind Reggie Games.
“The purpose of the event was to bring different RSOs and students across campus together to compete, raise money, relax before finals and have fun time,” Moss said.
More than 90 contestants participated in Reggie Games, competing in a total of seven different games. A new game was played each round, bringing excitement and competitive energy to Hancock Stadium. Events included games like “Red Light, Green Light,” “Four Corners,” the famous “Tug-of-War,” and many more.
Students competed for over $1,000 in prizes and the opportunity to donate to a charity of their choice. This made the event not only enjoyable but also impactful for the community.
Illinois State University student and participant Bradley Jacobson shared why he decided to take part in the games.
“I came out today to have a good time, spend time with friends, show off my athletic ability, and clear my mind before finals,” Jacobson said.
The event was a strong success for its first year which left Pi Sigma Epsilon and Alpha Gamma Delta planning for next year’s Reggie Games, aiming to make it bigger and better.
