Illinois State head coach Ryan Pedon has announced the addition of veteran assistant coach Mike Netti to his coaching staff starting with the 2025-26 season.

Following back-to-back seasons with strong improvement – including the 2025 College Basketball Invitational Title – Illinois State men's basketball head coach Ryan Pedon has signed a contract extension through the 2029-30 season. The 22 wins from the 2024-25 season was the program's most since the 2016-17 season, and the program's first winning season since 2018-19.

Illinois State head men's basketball coach Ryan Pedon has announced the addition of Landon Moore to the Redbird squad for the 2025-26 season.

The Illinois State Redbirds had five in double-figures, led by a season-high 20 points from Caden Boser, as the team won the 2025 Purple College Basketball Invitational by a 79-68 final score against the Cleveland State Vikings.
