The Illinois State Cross Country team travels to Columbia, Mo., for the seventh-annual Gans Creek Classic on Sept. 26.

Illinois State's Nora Brady and Cayde de Waal have been named the Missouri Valley Conference Runners of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Brady and de Waal each earned their first MVC Weekly Honor following their performances at the Redbird Invite.

The Illinois State cross country team posted a strong showing at the Redbird Invite at Weibring Golf Course on Friday morning. The women's team earned first in the 6k race for the third straight season, while the men finished runner-up in the 8k.

The Illinois State Cross Country team is set to host the annual Redbird Invite on Friday at the Weibring Golf Course. The event begins at 9 a.m. with the men's 8,000-meter race. The women's 6,000-meter race will follow at 9:45 a.m.
