Attendees have the option to register for an in-person or zoom webinar format. Mike Ziri is Director of Public Policy at Equality Illinois, the state’s LGBTQ+ civil rights organization. At a time of unprecedented attacks on the rights of LGBTQ+ people across the country and with just weeks left to go in the 2024 general election, Ziri will present about the challenges LGBTQ+ people experience in Illinois; how our state can keep moving forward to support and affirm LGBTQ+ people; and ways that LGBTQ+ people and allies can engage in advocacy to build a better Illinois.
