Illinois State volleyball is on their way to conference. ISU volleyball has already played 18 games against a variety of differently skilled teams, resulting in a great amount of experience. Schroeder Hall held a Trans Rights craft night hosted by the Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies program yesterday, October 15. The event was in response and retaliation to an anti-trans speaker who was on campus on Tuesday. The craft night gave an opportunity for students on the other side to stand up for trans rights and show their pride. The university is planning to open a first-of-its-kind laboratory that uses Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Nursing to predict Atrial Fibrillation. The AI has begun to excite students and professors studying heart rhythms and developing software to help prevent and detect heart disease. Atrial Fibrillation or “AFIB” is a heart disease where the Upper two chambers of the heart beat at an irregular rhythm and disrupts the blood flow.
