Families have chosen a safer, more convenient option than traditional trick-or-treating as Halloween fun reaches Bloomington.

Core3, a local property management company, turned their parking lot into a Glow Night Trunk or Treat celebration with activities for everyone to enjoy. Activities for kids included a glow in the dark dance floor, a popcorn machine, and open trunks to grab treats from.

Parents say that events like this make trick-or-treating feel safer. Kids were able to get their candy, have fun, and dance in a controlled environment with more visibility and less traffic.

“It’s a tough one because he’s so little. I imagine that people feel safer letting their kids run around,” said Lindsey Tod, a resident of Bloomington.

Many parents are also happy this fits their schedule better.

“Having things that aren’t necessarily on Halloween we both work in health care so it’s really nice. We both have to work on Halloween so it’s good that we have options for our family,” said Bloomington resident Delaney Ruby.

This was Core3’s fifth annual year hosting a Trunk or Treat event. They plan to keep the tradition going next year.
