Behind the seams: Inside Illinois State's 24th annual student-led fashion show
Each year, Illinois State University students come together to organize, plan, and produce a fully student-run fashion show that draws hundreds of attendees from across the state. Now in its 24th year, the Illinois State Fashion Show is led by a dedicated executive board and supported by over 100 student designers, models, and volunteers. As a registered student organization (RSO), it offers hands-on experience in event planning, fashion design, marketing, and production—welcoming all ISU students to get involved. Proceeds from sponsorships, ticket sales, and fundraising efforts help fund the show, with any surplus going toward the following year’s event. During its showtime on April 5, students also raised funds for Prairie Pride Coalition, supporting LGBTQIA+ rights in McLean County.Learn more about the Illinois State Fashion Show: https://fcs.illinoisstate.edu/academics/fashion/student-work/.

- 3:20Illinois State University’s Student Navigators Assist Redbirds through CrisesAt the root of student success is having basic needs met. Sometimes circumstances change quickly, and students find themselves in need of temporary help. Our program is a student-led, peer-to-peer model that helps students at Illinois State contending with economic hardship and basic needs crises. Trained Student Navigators help by identifying and connecting students to resources such as emergency aid, affordable food, housing, school supplies, technology, transportation, childcare, mental health care, and personal care items. This program is 100% privately funded by donations from our generous Redbird community.
