Music therapy grad student Thaddeus Tukes performs at Jazz UpFront | Illinois State University
Two years ago, Thaddeus Tukes, a Chicago composer and percussionist who has been called the world’s best vibraphonist, decided that music was about something more than receiving applause. Despite being an established musician who has performed at New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Chicago’s Symphony Center, he decided to pursue a degree in music therapy at the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts and fulfill his dream of healing people with music.Learn more about Tukes: https://news.illinoisstate.edu/2024/11/healing-vibes-world-renowned-vibraphonist-seeks-a-new-audience-as-a-music-therapist/Video credit: Tim Vęatčh
